So much so that when we are then taken back in time by a remake like this, our brains immediately have trouble processing what is expected, what to do, how to go about tasks. Video Games today have, by and large, become an objective marker theme park, a guided experience. The point was that no matter how long anyone has been playing games, the way games are designed in the modern era has gradually shifted our innate expectations that we just subconsciously expect for things to be a certain way. I have never played the original, and the game is kinda all over the place with what you can interact with, everything is glowing like buttons that you should be able to press.
